Course Breakdown:
- Week 1: From Notes to Summary
Students will learn how to transform their notes into concise summaries, laying the foundation for effective writing. Homework will be assigned to reinforce these skills.
- Week 2: Summary and Analysis of a Fictional Short Story
Participants will practice summarizing and analyzing a selected fictional short story, honing their ability to interpret narrative elements and themes. Homework will support this learning process.
- Week 3: Summary and Analysis of a Famous Speech
Students will explore the impact of rhetoric by summarizing and analyzing a famous speech, developing their skills in critical thinking and persuasive writing. Homework will be assigned to deepen their understanding.
